Granite United Church Food Drive

NO ONE IN OUR AREA WILL GO WITHOUT FOOD.

That is a mission of Granite United this Thanksgiving and Christmas season. GRANITE UNITED is committing to supplying the food banks in our area with plenty of stock for Thanksgiving. Recent news, reports have stated that food bank requests have increased dramatically in the last few months.

We have publicly stated that nobody in our church will ever go without food and now we are making that same commitment to our COMMUNITY!

Bags are to be returned to Church Sunday Morning at the Tenney School on November 8th.

If you have questions contact Court Holloway at cholloway@gsbc.net

Happy Father's Day

Tomorrow is father's Day! I hope and pray there will be father's that decide it is time for me to go to church! Above all other things that I think are important my family needs me to be in church! I hope that this will become the reality for someone's dad tomorrow! When that Dad comes to Granite we will have the opportunity to serve him and his family!

Was watching the weather tonight and looks like rain for tomorrow. Another opportunity to use the umbrella's and to welcome people to Granite.

July 5th is the day of the outdoor service and picnic at the Tenney School. We are going to need all available Guest Services volunteers serving this day. It will be fun and exciting to see how God charges up everyone for the launch of Granite United!

If you can make it to church by 9:00 AM it would be great as we have an opportunity to go before God as a group to pray for the services and give God thanks for the opportunity we have as His children to help Him make an eternal impact.

Rainy with a glimmer of hope!

This past Sunday was pretty cool...It was raining out most of the morning and at times raining pretty hard but what was so very awesome to see and experience was to see the guys out in the parking lot offering to walk people to the church doors with huge umbrella's...It seemed like many people actually took advantage of the offer and were very pleased with the service. In fact someone said to me that they have never seen such a service but that it was a great idea.

Plugged in on purpose

Last night we had a ministry leadership meeting and we went over some great examples of leading. This week and next we will be contacting the people that showed an interest in serving through the "Huxtable" cards that were sent out. I am praying that God will work in the hearts of His people and that we will see many people step out to serve in one ministry or another.

I am very excited to see what God is going to do in this new phase for Granite. I believe that this is the right direction for us to go in and that God will not for one second disappoint us in this endeavor but that he will truly manifest himself in the lives of His people. I believe that there are so many souls out there that just waiting to be harvested.

Going to start contacting people and getting people plugged in on purpose.
